Lecture / Class Abstract:
From distant antiquity, the choirs of angels have existed. All religions recognize intermediary spirits between the Divine and humanity. In the purest sense, an angel is a messenger relaying power and wisdom between worlds. They exist to uphold the Divine Laws. Lastly, as mediators of the forces of creation, their aid may be courted for aid in all matters (mundane and spiritual). This class draws from the Hermetic synthesis of the Italian Renaissance, the Angelic Art taught by Madeline Montalban, and the Greek Magical Papyri. Both theory and practice will be addressed.
Some highlights include (but are not limited to):
~~ A Brief Overview of comparative angelology
~~ One’s Holy Guardian Angel in magical lore
~~ Guidelines and Preparations to Angelic Magic
~~ Considerations for Prayer and Meditation
~~ Divining your personal Moon and Sun Angels
~~ The Archangels of the Elements and Planets (basic correspondences)
~~ Methods of Petitioning (Italian Stregoneria, American Conjure, Ceremonial Magic)
A brief resource list will be shared for further study. Please bring a notebook and writing utensil to the class. (Recording of the class is permitted so long as the participant notifies us at the start of class).

About Jonathan Sousa:
Rev. Jonathan Sousa is a votary of the Goddess Diana, whom he serves through the initiatory framework of the Italian Continental Craft. Other paths are an admitted influence upon his development, and Jonathan draws from these in his unique approach to the Elder Faith. Much of his current research is upon the revival of oracular prophecy and Neoplatonic/Hermetic theurgy.

Passages-My Brother Victor
My dear friends. It is with a heavy heart that I offer that my older brother Victor, age 87 years young, passed into the Light on Monday February 6, 2017 at 1:01 AM Eastern Time. He was a bearer The Light, and now carries that into The Light with our Ancestors. Our family has many beliefs as do many of yours. Victor was a member of the Church of Christ LDS (Mormon) and was respected in his church and neighborhood in which he resided. He affectionately helped care for many and was known by those in Florida where he resided as “Grandpa.” Religion was never an issue for us, and while we differed in our paths we all shared a belief in doing good for others, as that is expected of us by the Divine, however you may personify He/She/Them. My brother is survived by a daughter, Roberta, grandchildren Mark and Maddie, and a great-granddaughter Lilliana.
