While some parking is available on-street at Pickering Wharf, we suggest the Salem South Harbor Garage (aka Waterfront Garage-PDF) which is closest to us, located at the intersection of Derby St. and Congress St. Rates are very reasonable. Stay in town and make a day of it!

Summer 2017 Public Transit Commuter Rail Changes – Please Read !
To our friends. During the summer of 2017, the MBTA Commuter Rail service is planning major upgrades to the Newburyport / Rockport rail line that serves Salem, MA.
July 5 to Aug 15 – Weekdays:
During this 6-week period on weekdays (Mon to Fri) all trains from Boston will go as far as Salem (lucky for us!) and return to Boston from there. Service to Beverly will be via shuttle buses. This will allow for repairs to the Beverly train bridge over the Danvers River. During these weeks expect Salem Station to be busier than usual.
July 8 to Sept 30 – Weekends:
Weekend trains (Sat. & Sun.) from and to Boston will be suspended entirely on weekends for these three months so that a “positive train control” (PTC) safety system can be installed along its length. During that period you can still obtain surface bus service on Rts #450 and #455 from Wonderland Station on the MBTA Blue Line subway. Details are above. — UPDATE: This may change. Stay tuned for additional updates.
You will also have a water ferry option from Boston. Also see above.
